There’s no better way to experience the Treasure Coast than by boat — and if you’re in Vero Beach, you’re in for a treat. Whether you’re a seasoned local or just visiting for the weekend, a day out on the Indian River Lagoon offers a front-row seat to one of Florida’s most beautiful coastal ecosystems.

At Vero Tackle & Watersports, we make getting on the water easy, affordable, and unforgettable. Here’s your go-to guide for planning the perfect boat day in Vero Beach.

Why Choose Our Pontoon Boat Rentals?

We’re not just another boat rental shop, we’re your local launchpad for good times. Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Fuel is Included: One full tank of gas is on us. Cruise the lagoon, hit the sandbars, or head toward the inlet — just keep an eye on your adventure level. If you’re planning to be the next Magellan, you might need a second tank (that one’s on you).
  • Private Dock Access: Launch right from our exclusive dock, conveniently located beside Riverside Café. Grab a bite before or after your trip — or both.
  • Cancel Anytime: Plans change, weather shifts — we get it. Cancel anytime for any reason. You’re on vacation, not a schedule.
  • Friendly, Knowledgeable Staff: Our local crew knows the waters and will make sure you’re confident before you head out.
  • Low Price Guarantee: Affordable rates with everything you need included. No surprise charges here.
  • Spacious & Comfortable Boats: Our pontoons can accommodate up to 10 people, making them perfect for families, birthday parties, reunions, or just a relaxing day with friends.

What You’ll See & Do on the Water

Renting a pontoon with us isn’t just about the ride, t’s about the experience. Here’s what your boat day could look like:

  • Cruise to Sandbars: Spend the day anchored in shallow, crystal-clear water where you can wade, swim, and soak up the sun.
  • Wildlife Watching: Spot dolphins surfing your wake, manatees lounging near mangroves, and birds soaring overhead.
  • Picnic on a Spoil Island: Pull up to one of the many small islands scattered along the lagoon and enjoy a quiet lunch with a view.
  • Fishing Opportunities: Bring your rod and reel in local favorites like redfish, snook, sheepshead, and Spanish mackerel.
  • Dock-and-Dine: Pull up to local spots like Blackfins, Crab Stop, or Squid Lips and grab a bite right on the water.

Best Routes to Explore

Northbound to Sebastian Inlet – This scenic ride features islands, mangroves, and calm waters. Stop and explore, or head all the way to Sebastian Inlet for a dose of ocean breeze.

Southbound to Fort Pierce Inlet – Enjoy a peaceful cruise with multiple islands and wildlife areas along the way. Fort Pierce offers a gorgeous inlet view and plenty of places to drop anchor.

You’re welcome to cruise the full stretch between the two inlets — we’ve got your fuel covered.
